British Youth Council

SDYC are a member organisation of the British Youth Council (BYC). This membership enables an active voice to be heard on behalf of the young people of the Stroud district, at a regional (south west) and national level.

As part of the BYC local youth council network, representatives of SDYC get to attend regional and national events for discussions and debates on key issues. They also have online access to vote on decisions regarding BYC policy, which subsequently influence government and other organisations relating to the issues of concern.

SDYC representatives also attend the BYC Annual Council meeting, whereby further voting on policy and election of officers take place.
